Assignment week 2, SWIHA

I am creative. I like to come up with new and productive ways to think about things and to do things.  I’m open minded.  I like to think things through and examine them from all sides.  I have integrity.  I present myself in a genuine way and I take responsibility for my actions and my feelings.  I am fair.  I treat all people fairly, not letting my personal feelings bias decisions about others.  I have gratitude.  I’m thankful of the good things that happen and take the time to express thanks.  I have hope.  I expect the best, and work toward achieving it.  I am optimistic.  I look for the good in every situation and experience.  I have humor.  I like to tease and laugh, making others smile and see the lighter side of life.  I’m curious.  I take an interest in experiences and like to explore and discover new things.  I love learning new things.  I have compassion and do what I can to help others.

My skills are vast and well rounded in Holistic Health.  I am a certified shiatsu practitioner, massage therapist and reiki master.  I have an Associate’s Degree in Holistic Health from Southwest Institute of Healing Arts with a concentration and certification in clinical hypnotherapy.  I also am certified in life coaching, holistic nutrition and am a certified yoga instructor.   I have excellent organizational skills and pay attention to detail.  I am analytical in my thinking and planning.  I have strong verbal and personal communication skills.  I speak confidently in public, provide well thought out solutions, easily express ideas, listen attentively, speak effectively and write clearly and concisely.  I work well with others, accept responsibility, and am supportive and self-confident.  I’m punctual, easily coordinate tasks, manage projects effectively and meet deadlines.  I lead groups, teach, train, instruct others and take charge when needed.  I can work well independently or in groups. I’m a self-starter and also do well with specific work instruction.  I also have a Mini-MBA degree and have worked in business for many years prior to changing my focus to holistic health.  I still pull from my experience and background in business dealings even though I no longer work in that field.

My professional pursuits are to work with a writer as an assistant to gain knowledge and understanding around writing for a magazine.  I eventually want to publish articles related to holistic health.  It’s one of my passions to share my knowledge and thoughts with others.  I plan to continue my healing work as a Shiatsu Therapist, Massage Therapist, Reiki Master, Life Coach, Holistic nutrition coach and Hypnotherapist.  I plan on doing one on one sessions with clients, group sessions such as group hypnosis or couples sessions, create and present workshops on things relating to my work and to plan and host healing retreats 4-5 times a year.  These healing retreats will be for people who want to get away from the day to day life and set aside time to do intense healing work.  These retreats will include bodywork, energy work, coaching, hypnotherapy, yoga and nutrition counseling.  I share my passion for this work with my partner in business, and Husband, Roger.
